Nov 29th - Dec 1st.  Lady Cavs Take Consolation Championship at Hays Tournament-

The Lake Travis Lady Cavs Varsity traveled to the Hays tournament this Thur - Saturday.  Their first game was against the Rouse Raiders from Leander ISD on Thursday morning at 10:30.  The Lady Cavs got out to a 15 to 4 lead at the end of the 1st quarter but the Raiders fought back to cut the Cavs lead to 20 - 16 at half time.  The Lady Cavs scored 9 points and held the Raiders to 7 in the 3rd as well as 4th quarters to out pace the Raiders and end with a 38 to 30 WIN at the Finish.


The Lady Cavs  moved on to face the Highland Owls from San Antonio on Thursday at 5:30.  Once again the Cavs started quick and jumped out to a 20 to 7 lead after the 1st quarter and continued the momentum to have a 30 - 15 lead at halftime.  The Owls tightened things up in the 3rd to narrow the lead to 42 to 31 by the end of the quarter.  The Cavs out scored the Owls in the 4th to put up another WIN with a final score of 58 to 45.  The Cavs then faced the unbeaten Tivy Lady Antlers out of Kerrville on Friday at 12:00 and lost 53 to 40.  The Lady Cavs bounced back with a 41 to 24 WIN over Lehman before advancing to meet Pflugerville Connally in the Consolation Championship.


The Lady Cavs pulled ahead in the 1st quarter with an 8 to 6 lead and then built on that to lead 18 to 14 at half time against Connally.  The Cavs then poured it on in the 3rd quarter outscoring the Cougars of Connally 12 to 4 in the period to lead them to a 43 to 35 WIN in the Consolation Championship at the Hays Tournament on Saturday.Lady Cavs News Sep 30th 2018


The Lake Travis Lady Cavaliers Basketball team woke up early on Sunday to support their Champion Child, London Huser at the Run To Uplift MicroMarathon.  The MicroMarathon supports children and their families that are dealing with rare conditions by raising funds and awareness to their causes.  The Team came out to cheer on and even run with London as she participated and completed the Marathon.  Click here to See The Pictures of the team at the event.

2017-18 Lake Travis View picks, Female Athlete of the Year: Versatile Kristen Kleymeyer shines in two sports.

​The girls athletic department at Lake Travis underwent a rebirth of sorts this season, and junior Kristen Kleymeyer, this year’s Lake Travis View female athlete of the year, played a pivotal role for two of the most prominent girls programs.
A first-team, all-district performer in both volleyball and basketball, Kleymeyer added a heavy dose of athleticism to both teams.

After quick start, Lake Travis falls to Judson in girls hoops playoffs

Holding onto a stunning 16-3 lead late in the first quarter on Friday night, Lake Travis looked primed for a major upset over No. 2 Converse Judson...For the Cavs (15-20), their season ended on Friday night, but they did notch a postseason win for the first time in 10 years with an upset of District 26-6A champion San Antonio Lee in the first round of the playoffs.

Late 3 by Sydney Wilson caps dramatic upset by Lake Travis girls
Lake Travis (15-19), which finished fourth in District 25-6A, upset the heavily favored Volunteers (30-5), who won the District 26-6A title with an 11-1 district record...Buckets by Wilson and juniors Shelby Devin, Kristen Kleymeyer and Madeline Fuchs powered an 8-0 run that made it a one-point game, 37-36, with just under two minutes to go.

Win over Leander secures playoff spot for Lake Travis girls basketball
The win clinched the postseason trip for Lake Travis (14-19 overall, 5-8 in 25-6A) as Leander (11-18, 3-9) failed in its attempt to tie the Cavs and force a postseason play-in game...Cilliers finished with a game-high eight rebounds to go with nine points (including seven in the second half) and two steals. Kleymeyer tallied 10 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists.

Vista Ridge girls rally past Lake Travis, snap Cavs’ 2-game win streak

"Lake Travis junior Kristen Kleymeyer scored eight of her game-high 17 points in the first half as the Cavs built a 25-13 lead with just three seconds to go in the half...Junior Shelby Devin finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots for Lake Travis, which had won two consecutive games under first-year coach Kevin Bussinger before the Jan. 17 setback."

Veteran Vandegrift girls basketball team rolls past Lake Travis

Lake Travis twins Bailey and Shelby Devin led Lake Travis with seven points each. Madeleine Fuchs added six, and two-sport star Kristen Kleymeyer, who also excels at volleyball, chipped in with five points.

“Neither squad was able to generate significant offense in the halfcourt, with turnovers abound on each side...But one player — Lake Travis point guard Kristen Kleymeyer — was able to break out of the slog. The junior and Cavs’ volleyball standout, Kleymeyer took command of the Lake Travis offense, pouring in eight points in the opening period. Both via transition layups and corner threes, Kleymeyer powered the Cavs’ attack, ending her evening with 23 points and 5 steals.”
